Bikers for Jesus
Inspired by students, BFJ helps raise money by bicycling for missions while having a great retreat!

August 2004: 365 miles length of Indiana from Lake Michigan to the Ohio River raising money for Wesley Foundation and Bikes for Missionaries.
August 2005: eighteen students and local United Methodists bicycled the length of lower Michigan from South Bend, IN up along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Half of our pledges went to UMCOR.
August 2006: the group bicycled from Purdue across Ohio to Lake City, PA on Lake Erie. We raised funds for Wesley and UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).
May 2007: we tried something a little different and met another Wesley cycling group from Arkansas State by riding to St. Louis and joining together in inner city mission projects.
August 2008: a group rode across Wisconsin starting near Chicago, IL and ending at the twin cities in Minnesota.
August 2009: we had twenty-one cyclists riding 430 miles in seven days from South Bend, IN to Mackinaw Island, MI raising over $6,000 for bicycles in Africa and Wesley.
August 2010: we’re cycling AROUND Indiana to raise money for 8 campus ministries in our conference.
