A Legacy of Welcome: The Campaign for Wesley Foundation is our commitment to shaping the lives of students on campus and beyond. Experiences at Wesley help students discover their passions and develop the skills to become equipped and engaged leaders in their homes, at work, in their community, and as leaders in their faith communities.

We have set a bold goal to raise $1.5 million so that we may expand our ministry work across campus and create an intentional community space for students in the new building.

Wesley Campus Ministry

Wesley Campus Ministry aims to develop a healthy, spiritual home for Purdue students by catering to the needs, callings, and passions of our diverse community. From Friday Fellowship, worship, and small groups to Midnight Pancakes, recreation, and service projects, we are committed to continuing to live out our legacy and mission.

We are proud of our 108 years of ministry on State Street and we look forward to the opening of our new home in 2026 at 122 Waldron Street where we will continue our ministry. This larger and more sustainable campus ministry building well help us carry our mission and vision forward for the next 100 years.

Be a Part of the Legacy

Every gift—no matter the size—directly impacts our students so they may have an enriching Wesley experience like so many students before them.

"Wesley is a huge part of my life, it’s shaped me over my college career greatly and has helped me find a place to call home. Our new building means a lot to myself and others because it gives us more space to where our community can grow. It’s more than just space but an investment into the future of Wesley and what we hope to build for the next generations after us."

OPENING 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

Wesley Foundation Student Center

In the spring of 2024, our Board of Directors agreed to sell the Wesley Foundation building and land at 435 W. State Street to Purdue University. In exchange we received new land at 122 Waldron Street in the "island area" between residential and academic campus as well as enough financial support to build a larger, more sustainable campus ministry building to help us carry our mission and vision forward for the next 100 years.  We are proud of our 108 years of ministry on State Street. From this location we did much to transform lives and the Purdue Campus. In the 1930's, Wesley Foundation started the co-op student living movement on campus. Later, Wesley broke the color barrier at a time when only white students were allowed to live on Purdue's campus. In transitioning to our new location, Wesley is committed to continue living out our legacy and mission. In addition to common areas for ministries, the new building will include 34 beds to rent to students and provide a sense of community.

While we were sad to leave our historic location, this opportunity allows us to further diversify financial income and enable our ministry to continue leading boldly by providing a substantial student community living option on site. We believe this move sets us up for the next 100 years of ministry as a force for good on campus.

Wesley Suites
Student Living

The new Wesley Student Center will include 34 suites for rent for students on the third and fourth floor of the building.

  • Fully Furnished

  • Communal Living Space

  • Shared Kitchen

  • Shared Bathroom

  • Laundry On Site

The spaces are designed for students to live in an intentional community with each other. Students do not need to subscribe to a specific religion or faith, but all residents must agree to live in a covenant community that encourages positive interactions in the house.

NAMING OPPORTUNITIES

Building for
Our Bright Future

Wesley Foundation has always relied on the generosity of churches, alumni, families, and friends. As we enter this exciting new era, we invite you to become a permanent part of our story by sponsoring one of our naming opportunities.

These opportunities provide a way for you, your family, or organization to:

  • Honor or memorialize a loved one.

  • Celebrate a lasting connection to Wesley.

  • Support the ongoing mission to love, serve, and welcome every student.

Your contribution will support the ongoing ministry and make a visible, lasting impact on students' lives.

Wesley Swag 2025.jpg

"Wesley is a welcoming home for all students who are looking for a place to be seen and accepted. That sense of community has been so strong even in our time of transition and I’m excited to see how it will grow in the future through the facilities and opportunities our new building will provide. For myself, I will only be able to enjoy the new building for a year, but being a part of its development has given me so much fulfillment because I know I am providing a home for hundreds of future students that will walk through its doors, just like I did."
