Wesley Foundation at Purdue University announced today it has reached the halfway milestone of its campaign, A Legacy of Welcome. This groundbreaking campaign is raising money to fully fund the new Wesley Foundation Student Center and to expand Wesley’s ministry on the Purdue University campus.

In 2025, the board of the Wesley Foundation set a bold goal to raise $1.5 million of funding for more resources, staff, and support so that more students may have an enriching Wesley experience.

Today, Wesley Foundation prepares to transition to its new home while also making plans to broaden its ministry by integrating small groups, student leadership development, community programming, and the Aldersgate ministry into the new Wesley Foundation Student Center. These efforts will provide opportunities for students to discover their passions and develop skills in Wesley’s welcoming and inclusive community.

“Our board has made intentional decisions to be good stewards of Wesley’s resources to secure our future in the new building,” said Adam Hemmelgarn, campaign committee chair. “This time of transition has taken commitment from all of us—from alumni and friends to current students—and we hope students decades from now will look back and understand the impact we have created together.”

The new Wesley Student Center is set to open for the 2026-2027 academic year and will provide a larger and more sustainable home for Wesley’s campus ministry to carry its mission and vision forward.

“This moment in our history is not only about celebrating the construction of a building, but also about creating new opportunities, experiences, and memories that will happen everyday in our new home,” said Rev. Dr. Glen Robyne, Lead Pastor and Director at Wesley Foundation. “We know the immense power this organization has on shaping the lives of students and, even when the physical building is complete, our community building continues.”

Alumni, churches, community partners, families and friends are invited to become a part of the Wesley legacy by making a gift to the campaign. A gift through pledge can be made over a three year period and will provide students living at Wesley, and those participating in ministries, with the opportunity to build a meaningful community together.
